Trackademic

Terms and Conditions

Last updated 2026-10-17

These are the terms you agree to when you create a Trackademic account. They are written to be read, not to be skipped — if anything here is unclear, ask before you sign up.

1. What Trackademic is

Trackademic is a study dashboard for students whose school uses Canvas. You give it read access to your own Canvas data, and it arranges that data into a dashboard, a task board, a deadline calendar, and a points-based study companion.

Trackademic is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instructure, Inc. Canvas is a trademark of Instructure, Inc. Nothing in Trackademic is an official channel for your school, and nothing you do here is submitted to Canvas — it reads your data, it does not act on your behalf.

2. Your account

You need a working email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for everything done through your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be old enough to enter into this agreement where you live. If you are a minor, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.

3. One person, one Canvas account

A Trackademic subscription covers one student. The first time you connect Canvas, your Canvas identity is permanently linked to your Trackademic account. From then on:

A second Trackademic account cannot connect the same Canvas account. It is refused with an “Account Sharing Violation” message. Your own account keeps working normally — the block only stops a second one.

Your Trackademic account cannot connect a different Canvas account either. The link is one-to-one and permanent by design, because one subscription shared across a group is the thing this rule exists to stop.

There is no self-service way to unlink, on purpose. If you genuinely need the link moved — you re-registered under a new email, or you lost access to the old account — email us and we will move it by hand.

4. Your Canvas access token

To read your Canvas data, Trackademic needs a Canvas API access token, which you create yourself in Canvas (or with our Chrome extension, which creates one using your existing Canvas session). That token is yours. It carries your own Canvas permissions and nothing more.

You are responsible for the token you supply, and for having the right to use the Canvas account it belongs to. You can revoke it at any time from your Canvas account settings, which immediately stops Trackademic from reading anything. Do not paste in a token belonging to someone else.

5. Free trial

Every new account gets 7 days free, with every feature switched on. No card is needed, and the trial is granted once per account — it does not restart if you register again.

The trial does not convert into a paid subscription on its own. When it ends, the app asks you to subscribe; nothing is charged unless you choose to pay.

6. Subscription and payment

Trackademic Pro costs ₱99. Each payment buys a 30-day term. Payments are processed by PayMongo — you scan a QR Ph code with GCash, Maya, or a banking app. We never see or store your card or wallet credentials; PayMongo handles the payment and tells us only whether it succeeded.

Nothing renews automatically. There is no recurring charge and no card on file. When your term is near its end, the app prompts you, and you pay again if you want to continue. If you renew early, the days left on your current term are added to the new one, so you do not lose them.

“Cancel anytime” simply means: stop paying. Nothing is deducted after a term ends. When a term lapses, the app locks to the subscribe screen — your account, your settings, and the Canvas data cached in your browser are all still there, and paying again restores access.

7. Refunds

The 7-day free trial exists so you can decide before paying anything. Because each payment unlocks the full service immediately, paid terms are generally non-refundable.

If something on our side went wrong — you were charged twice, or a payment succeeded and your account was not unlocked — email us and we will sort it out. This does not limit any rights you have under Philippine consumer law.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

Share your account, subscription, or Canvas token with anyone else; use a Canvas account that is not yours; try to bypass the account link, the subscription gate, or any other limit in the app; scrape, resell, or redistribute what Trackademic shows you; attack, overload, or probe our systems or Canvas through them; or use Trackademic to break your school's own rules.

9. Vaults and Google

A vault is a Google Doc and a Drive folder that Trackademic creates in your own Google account, together with a public link and QR code that point at them. Connecting Google is optional; the rest of Trackademic works without it.

The files are yours, not ours. They live in your Google Drive, under your Google account, and Google's own terms apply to them. We create them empty and never write to them afterwards. Deleting a vault in Trackademic retires its link and QR code and leaves the Doc and folder untouched in your Drive.

A vault's page is public. Anyone with the link, or with a photograph of the QR code, can open a page showing the vault's name and description. Treat both as public from the moment you create the vault. Who can open the files themselves is decided by Google's sharing settings, which you control.

You are responsible for what goes in a vault. Do not put course material there that is not yours to share — lecture slides, handouts, exam papers and readings belong to whoever wrote them, and sharing them publicly can breach both their copyright and your school's rules. Trackademic never copies anything from Canvas into a vault, and you should not either.

You can disconnect Google at any time from the Vaults page, and remove our access entirely from your Google account settings. Doing so stops you creating new vaults; it does not delete anything.

10. Your data

Your Canvas coursework is stored in your own browser, not on our servers. What we keep on the server is your account and payment information, plus — if you use Vaults — each vault's name, description and links. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what that means, and it is part of these terms.

Kulii's AI is optional and off until you turn it on. When it is on, the question you ask, excerpts of your course material, and your course names and upcoming deadlines are sent to Amazon Bedrock to write the answer, and are not kept. Each account has a monthly AI allowance, which resets on the 1st of each month (Philippine time) and does not carry over. Kulii shows how much is left. When it runs out, Kulii's other tools keep working. You can turn the AI off at any time.

11. Availability and accuracy

Trackademic is provided as it is, without warranties. We do our best to keep it running, but we cannot promise it is always available or always up to date.

Everything you see here comes from Canvas, and Canvas is the authority. Deadlines, grades, and announcements can be delayed, cached, or misread by a sync. Check Canvas before you rely on a date or a grade. We are not liable for a missed deadline, a misread grade, or any other academic outcome.

Kulii's answers, summaries and quiz questions are generated by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. They are labelled as AI-generated. Check them against your course material before relying on them.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Trackademic at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by email.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — in particular one sharing a subscription or using a Canvas account that is not its owner's. Where it is fair to do so, we will tell you why first.

13. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in substance, the “Last updated” date at the top changes with them, and the version you accepted is recorded against your account. Continuing to use Trackademic after a change means you accept the new version.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
